Job Description

Intern Nepal | Recruit Nepal are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with a strong background in bank reconciliation to join their team. The ideal candidate will have excellent accounting knowledge, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to manage financial data accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Bank Reconciliation:
    • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and company records.
    • Ensure timely recording of transactions and maintain accurate bank records.
  2. General Accounting:
    • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals.
    • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
    • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
  3. Financial Analysis & Reporting:
    • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Generate accurate financial reports for management as required.
  4. Compliance and Audit:
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
    • Assist in external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
  5. Process Optimization:
    • Identify and recommend improvements to existing accounting procedures and workflows.
    • Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2+ years of professional experience in accounting with expertise in bank reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or other ERP systems) and MS Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and banking transactions.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
