Job Description
Navya Advisors Limited is hiring a full-time Accounting & Operations Intern at their Kathmandu office on a contract basis. The role offers a daily stipend along with additional benefits. The intern will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, supporting monthly closings, and handling account reconciliations. Responsibilities also include assisting with accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and budgeting tasks. On the operations side, the intern will help improve internal processes, maintain documentation, and support procurement, inventory, and logistics. Additionally, the role involves supporting HR activities such as recruitment coordination, employee record management, and onboarding processes. This opportunity is ideal for part-qualified candidates seeking hands-on experience in accounting, operations, and HR within the IT/Telecoms sector.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
- Prepare journal entries, assist in monthly closings, and perform account reconciliations
- Support the preparation of financial reports and internal audits
- Assist in accounts payable/receivable functions and bank reconciliations
- Support the Finance Manager with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Operations Support
- Help streamline internal processes to improve operational efficiency
- Maintain records and ensure proper documentation of operational activities
- Support procurement, inventory tracking, and logistics management
- Assist in organizing internal meetings, reports, and cross-functional coordination
HR Administration
- Assist in recruitment activities, including posting job ads, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews
- Maintain employee records and HR databases
- Support onboarding and off-boarding processes
- Assist in employee engagement initiatives and HR compliance activities
Qualifications & Skills
- ACCA Part-qualified or actively pursuing ACCA certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
