Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation and review of financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and relevant statutory requirements.
• Supporting statutory audit fieldwork, including testing internal controls, verifying transactions, and performing substantive procedures.
• Helping with the compilation of audit working papers, schedules, and documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence.
• Contributing to tax computations, VAT returns, and other compliance-related tasks for UK clients.
• Conducting data analysis, reconciliations, and variance investigations using accounting software and tools.
• Participating in client meetings, queries, and correspondence to build practical communication skills. 

Expected Skills/ Experience/Knowledge

• Qualifications & Knowledge: Pursuing ACCA (preferably completed AA and FR papers, though not mandatory) or ACCA Affiliate; basic knowledge of UK accounting standards (FRS 102, IFRS), auditing (ISA UK), and tax regulations. Technical & Analytical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero); strong problem-solving, data analysis, and attention to detail.
• Soft Skills & Communication: Excellent English communication for reports and client interactions; team-oriented, adaptable, with strong time management and a proactive learning attitude. Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons; prior internship experience is a plus.
