Job Description

ME10 are reaching out to experienced tax accountants who specialise in UK Personal tax and corporation tax. 

This exciting role will  provide valued service to accounting firm in the UK and will offer a great opportunity to learn and develop a range of skills. This is a newly created opportunity due to significant growth within the business to support the personal tax compliance process by preparing tax computations and tax accounting schedules. 

The ideal candidate will have experience working in personal and corporation tax compliance within practice. Some experience of capital allowances would also be highly desirable.

• Provision of personal tax services.
• Review and preparation of tax computations.
• A range of ad hoc assignments.
• Assist with VAT returns.
• Trouble shooting and solving complex queries.
• Manage workflow and ensure client work is completed and delivered to a high standard and in a timely manner.
• Supervise junior team members offering coaching and mentoring.
• Liaise with HMRC on client matters.
• Liaise with clients, attending meetings and helping with queries.
• Support with general accountancy services and business advice.
• Work closely with senior team members.
• Promote and strive for customer service excellence.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as required.
• Preparation and filing of corporation tax

Role requirements – 

• Strong knowledge of UK taxation
• Tax qualification either by itself or as part of an accountancy qualification
• Knowledge of audits and statutory accounts preparation is highly desirable
• Strong corporation tax compliance technical skills
• Prior experience of Tax software would be highly beneficial
• Ability to multitask, work to deadlines and prioritise
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders and clients
• Command of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Ability to take a logical and practical approach
• Organised, methodical and with good attention to detail
• A team player with a can-do attitude, but with the discipline to work autonomously and be proactive
