Job Description

We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to join our team at RecruiterSkill Lab in Kathmandu. The role involves maintaining and updating financial records, including ledgers, journals, and statements, while ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of financial transactions. You will also be responsible for preparing monthly financial reports and generating financial statements. Additionally, you will assist with both internal and external audits, implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets, and collaborate with other departments to resolve financial issues. This position is ideal for recent graduates looking to start their career in accounting and gain valuable experience in the public practice sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Recordkeeping:
• Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and statements.
• Record and reconcile financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare monthly financial reports.
• Generate financial statements.
• Audit and Internal Controls:
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial issues.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards.

Eligibility Criteria

• · Bachelor’s degree completed in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• · Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• · Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally). A certificate in Tally training is a plus.
• · Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• · Good communication and organizational skills.
• · Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
