Makesworth Accountants Pvt Ltd is looking to recruit two Accounts Senior in our office in New Baneshwar, Kathmandu, Nepal. We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual to join our team. We have high professional standards and are looking for candidates with excellent academic/professional backgrounds who have a minimum of three years of experience with a UK-based Accounting Practice or Outsourcing firm.

As an Accounts and Tax Senior, you will be expected to report to Partners where the job role will comprise of liaising with the Senior Account Managers & the rest of the team. The position will also involve delivering first-class service in the preparation of clients’ Statutory Accounts & Taxes with personal and corporation returns. You will need to supervise the Account Managers & team in liaison with the Partner and review their work accordingly.

Expectations and Role Summary
Jr. Accounts and Operations Officer will plan, direct (do accounting), and control company’s finances. S/he
will be responsible for accounting, cost analysis, financial planning, and budgeting duties. The role focuses
on financial concerns related to business operations across three key areas: planning, directing, and
controlling companies’ operating costs.
The role expects to track a company’s spending and provide detailed insights into areas where financial
efficiency could improve. The position requires the person to track and record transactional data, such as
sales, purchases and expense. The role will focus on the day-to-day costs of running a business.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparing Revenue and Expense Reports: Review previous accounting periods and prepare
    reports based on financial records. This process often involves department- or project-specific
    analyses.
  • Tracking Labor and Procurement Costs: Track costs associated with labor, raw materials, and
    supplies. Prepare expense reports related to employee hours and materials cost comparisons.
  • Making Financial Projections: Assist team to internal financial objectives. Reaching these goals
    requires detailed financial forecasts based on historical trends.
  • Creating Operational Budgets: Prepare department- and project-specific budgets. Their budgets
    usually integrate findings from previous work in expense reporting, cost tracking, and financial
    projections.
  • Managing Financial Accounts: Oversee organizations’ financial accounts.

Necessary Qualifications and Skills

  • Certification: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in finance/accounting or holds professional
    qualification such as ACCA / CA / CPA / CIMA or any relevant qualification
  • Experience: At least two years progressive experience in the area of accounting and finance
  • Deep Understanding of Core Accounting Principles: Must possess a mastery of key accounting
    abilities, such as revenue and expense tracking, asset accounting, and cost analysis.
  • Proficiency with Accounting Technologies: Digital literacy to gain familiarity with modern
    accounting software and tools such Microsoft Office Packages, Teams and Others.
  • Communication Skills: The role need to present complex information in accessible language to
    colleagues with non-accounting backgrounds. Well-developed oral and written communication skills
    (English Fluent) is essential for the role.
  • Collaborative Personality: The role need to frequently work closely with accounting colleagues,
    management, and executives. Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills is required to make these
    interactions easier and more efficient.
